Teri Canaday,M.A.T., A.M.S. Language, Classroom Leadership, Curriculum Design and Strategies, Child Development, Art and Practical Life
Ms. Canaday earned a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A.T. in Elementary Education from Miami University in Oxford, OH. She holds an American Montessori Society credential at the Early Childhood through Xavier University, OH, and Elementary I level through the same university. Additionally, she attended Columbus Montessori Center's (COMET) Elementary I course as an auditor. Teri brings years of experience not only as a consultant, but also faculty member at several prominent universities and Montessori training centers. Her experience as a teacher in both private and public schools, and more recently as founder of the Montessori Center of Jackson, gives her the unique ability to understand the dynamics involved in a Montessori school and the complex processes associated with growing and maintaining a successful program. She has served on several educational boards, curriculum development councils, and lectures extensively on brain research and its effective implementation in the Montessori classroom.
Teri also brings not only her experience as an AMS school accreditation consultant, and a MACTE evaluation member for teacher education programs, but also her experience in team leadership, peace education, program modification for special needs, and her innovative approach to problem solving. Currently in addition to being the founder and head of the Montessori Center of Jackson, she is also actively involved with the Memphis Montessori Institute as the administrator for the Elementary level training program.
Judi Bauerlein Language
Ms. Bauerlein holds a M.Ed., and she is an AMS certified Early Childhood and Elementary Montessori teacher working in the Elementary programs in San Mateo, California. She is an AMS consultant and workshop presenter. Her experience as a teacher trainer on the Elementary level covers over 20 years. In 2010 Judi was recognized as a living legacy by AMS for her contributions to the Montessori world.
Kathy Bradfield Cultural
Ms. Bradfield holds a B.A., and is an AMI certified Early Childhood and Elementary teacher who recently retired from the Lamplighter School in Cordova TN. Kathy has many experiences teaching children from ages 3 through 12, which enhances the perspective she brings to teacher training.
Krista O'Daniel Cultural, Classroom Leadership, Curriculum Design and Strategies, Movement, Geometry
Ms. O'Daniel holds a M.Ed. and is an AMS certified Elementary Montessori teacher currently working at The Montessori School at Bemis in Jackson TN. She has extensive knowledge with Montessori programs in the public school sector which further enhances our program's appeal to Montessori teachers in public schools.
Joyce Moxley Philosophy
Ms. Moxley is a Certified National Board of Professional Teaching Standards in Early Childhood. She has earned two Master's of Education: Elementary Education and Dyslexia Therapy. Mrs. Moxley has AMS credentials for early childhood and lower elementary. She has experience teaching in both the private and public educational environments and now directs both The Montessori Academy of Jackson and the Montessori Educational Institute of North America.
