MEINA Serves Public and Charter Schools
The outcomes we aspire to teach are lifelong developments, however, we specialize in training educators that are working in a public Montessori setting. Public and Charter Montessori educators are often faced with meeting particular requirements and challenges. MEINA uniquely brings innovative tools, content, and support to help your faculty. For years we have worked with schools and school districts, charter networks and state education departments to continuously improve the effectiveness of Montessori educators in ways that not only allow them to offer authentic Montessori curriculum but also meet the many and various requirements that state and local educational agencies require.
The Director of MEINA, Teri Canaday, worked with Nancy Rambusch, founder of AMS, during her work with Cincinnati Public Schools. Ms. Canaday was a staff member during the opening year of the first AMS public Montessori school orchestrated by Rambusch. Canaday has since been instrumental in opening the public Montessori school in Jackson, TN and has worked as a consultant for many public and charter Montessori schools across the country during her 40 years in Montessori education.
Our Elementary Faculty has decades of experience working as teachers in public Montessori classrooms, giving them keen insights to the needs of the teacher candidates employed by the public sector.
MEINA's staff has a rich background working with Montessori educators that are involved in the public sector. The staff recognizes the challenges that both administrators and teachers experience in the Montessori arena. Due to the charter/district requirements that often enter into the mix of running a public Montessori school, the challenges vary from those often encountered by educators that are in the private sector.
Our staff members are committed to assisting public/charter Montessori schools so that Montessori education may be provided to all children, regardless of the socio-economic background of the family
